CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. <br />The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to <br />refer the matter to a fuCure agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual <br />information. Claims against the City, Gouncil Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel <br />appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />ltems on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Cauncil, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on Che Consent Agenda. A Gouncil Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on July 12, 2010. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Airport Advisory Board minutes (4-I 5-2010) <br />b. Paris Economic Development Corporation minutes (6-8-2010; 6-24-2010) <br />c. Traffic Commission minutes (6-8-2010) <br />d. Board of Adjustment minutes (6-15-2010) <br />7. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br />8. Deliberate on June monthly financial report. <br />Regular Agenda <br />9. First reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance establishing a new school <br />zone on Loop 286 SE near its intersection with South Collegiate Drive establishing <br />maximum, reasonable and prudent rates of speed on Loop 286 SE for a new school <br />zone near the new Paris High School. <br />10. First reading, deliberate, and possibly act on an Ordinance establishing a construction <br />speed zone on US 82 and BU 82 H(Bonham St.) in the corporate limits of the City of <br />Paris, Lamar County, Texas, during the Texas Department of Transportation's <br />Construction Project on Bonham Street (US Highway 82W) from Loop 286 West <br />toward the city limits. <br />11. Deliberate and possibly act on a Resolution appointing members to the Band <br />Commission, the Building and Standards Commission, and the Airport Advisory <br />Board. <br />
