915 EXHIBIT "C" <br />916 CURRENT RESIDENTIAL COLLECTION POLICY <br />917 <br />918 The City of Paris will provide twice-weekly residential trash collection to customers paying a <br />919 monthly residential sanitation charge, subject to the following guidelines: <br />920 <br />921 1. Zones 1 and 3 will be collected on Monday and Thursday. Zone 2 will be collected on <br />922 Tuesday and Friday (see map on reverse side). <br />923 <br />924 2. Items for collection must be placed together at curbside no earlier than dusk the day prior to <br />925 scheduled collection and no later than 7:30 A.M. the day of collection. All items used for <br />926 storage or containment of bags, bundles and containers must be removed following collection <br />927 by the city no later than 11:00 P.M. the day of collection. Storage containers shall be made of <br />928 a solid and durable grade of inetal or plastic with a capacity of not less than ten (10) gallons <br />929 and a capacity of not more than sixty (60) gallons. No permanent structures sha11 be <br />930 constructed or placed at or near the curbside. <br />931 <br />932 3. Properly secured disposable bags will be removed from rigid or semi rigid containers. The <br />933 weight limit for disposable bags or brush bundles should not exceed fifty (50) pounds. All <br />934 containers will be left at the point of collection. For health and safety reasons, garbage that is <br />935 loose in containers other than leaves will not be collected. Leaves that are placed loosely in <br />936 containers should have a securely fastened lid to prevent leaves from blowing out of <br />937 containers. <br />938 <br />939 4. No more than a total of six (6) disposable bags or brush bundles will be collected on any <br />940 regular collection day. On Thursday and Friday one bulk item will be picked up in addition to <br />941 the six (6) bags or bundles. This item can be up to two (2) cubic yards in size (for example a <br />942 refrigerator). Six (6) additional bags may be set out in lieu of placing a bulk item at the <br />943 curbside. <br />944 <br />945 5. Bulk item nick up: A single bulk item up to 2 cubic yards will be picked up on the second <br />946 pick up day of the week (Thursday or Friday) free of charge. If the customer has more than <br />947 one bulk item per week or more than the allotted number of bags the City will automatically <br />948 pick up everything at the curb on the second collection day of the week and charge the water <br />949 bill for any overages. Approximate charges are as follows: $20.00 (twenty dollars) per bulk <br />950 item and $2.00 (two dollars) per bag or box with the exception of leaves. The customer may <br />951 call Public Works at (903) 784-9266 and someone will come out and give you an estimate of <br />952 what it will cost ($20.00 per cubic yard) for the City of Paris Sanitation Dept. to remove your <br />953 bulk items. The customer can haul one pickup load per month to the landfill located at 3100 <br />954 CR 33900 (see map on the back) for free by taking a current water bill and your driver's <br />955 license. The name and/or address must match. <br />956 Please do not nlace bulk items at the street until one (1) dav nrior to pick up dav. <br />957 <br />958 6.
