REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL LANDFILL FACILITY AND RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION t 2 SPECIFICATION INTENT 3 The City of Paris (herein called "City") is accepting sealed proposals for the provision of solid 4 waste landfill services to City and for the collection of residential solid waste(with alternates) 5 through an agreement to be based on this Request for Proposals and the successful proposer. 6 These specifications are intended to describe the use of a landfill for the City and the collection 7 of residential solid waste. Proposals may include both landfill services and residential collection, 8 just landfill services, or residential collection only. 9 10 11 CorrTacT 12 Any questions relating to these specifications may be discussed with Steve McFadden, Interim 13 Director of Public Works, at smcfadden@paristexas.gov. To minimize opportunities for 14 miscommunication, all questions must be sent via email; no telephone questions will be 15 accepted. 16 17 18 EFFECTIVE DATES 19 Upon award, the contract for landfill services will be effective April 1, 2011. If a proposal for 20 residential collection is selected, the effective date will be negotiated but will be no later than 21 August 2011. 22 23 24 REQUIREMENTS 25 All proposals for landfill services must be prepared and signed by the proposer in Exhibit "A." 26 Proposals for residential solid waste collection must be prepared and signed by the proposer in 27 Exhibit "B." Additional copies of the proposal form may be obtained from the City Manager's 28 office. All blank spaces in each proposal form, together with appropriate schedules, must be 29 completed in ink or typewritten. Proposers must submit one original and 15 copies of each 30 proposal they wish to be considered. 31 32 If a unit or a lump sum already entered by the proposer on the proposal form is to be altered, it 33 shall be crossed out with ink and the new unit price or lump sum bid entered above or below it, 34 and initialed by the proponent in ink before the 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2010, submission 35 deadline. 36 37 Each proposal, together with appropriate schedules, must be submitted in a sealed envelope or 38 box bearing on the outside the name of the proponent, his address, and plainly marked in bold 39 with all capital letters "SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL LANDFILL FACILITY AND 4o RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION."
