PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COUNCIL <br />Minutes <br />Friday, November 19th, 2010 <br />Chairman Bobby Walters called the meeting to order. <br />Members present were Bobby Walters, George Kimbrough, Rhonda Rogers, <br />Tim Masters, Mike Patterson, Derald Bulls, Gail Dority, Roy Gwinn, Mindy <br />Moree and Becky Semple. <br />Bobby Walters welcomed Rhonda Rogers, City Council appointee, and Houston <br />Scott, Student Ex-Officio member to the Board. <br />Bobby Walters also welcomed guests Paul Gray of Archers for Christ, and Connie <br />Beard from The Paris News to the meeting. <br />The minutes from June 15th 2010 were reviewed and approved on a motion <br />made by Tim Masters and seconded by Derald Bulls. <br />Mindy Moree presented the October 2010 Financials for V&CC and Love Civic <br />Center. The financials were approved on motion made by Gail Dority and <br />seconded by George Kimbrough. <br />In New Business, nominations were made for the election of officers for 2010- <br />2011. George Kimbrough made the motion to re-elect Bobby Walters as <br />Chairman for 2010-2011, and Derald Bulls made the second. There were no <br />other nominations and the vote was unanimous. Bobby Walters made the <br />motion to nominate George Kimbrough for Vice Chairman and Derald Bulls <br />made the second. There were no other nominations and the vote was <br />unanimous. <br />New Business: The Archers for Christ is sponsoring the ASA Statewide <br />Championship in Paris in July, 2011. Their funding request was for $2500 and <br />based off scoring criteria, their score was 98% and the events funding sub- <br />committee recommended that funding be granted at 98% totaling $2450.00. <br />The recommendation was approved on a motion made by Roy Gwinn and <br />seconded by Tim Masters. <br />12 <br />
