Any complaints will be directed to the Chief of <br />Police or his designee away from the accident scene. <br />(13) Each on call towing service will provide local tow service free of <br />charge to any emergency services city vehicle needing removal <br />from collision scenes or mechanical breakdown to a location <br />designated by the city employee while on call. <br />ARTICLE IV. FEE SCHEDULE <br />Sec. 35-15. Tow Fees. <br />(a) The following are the maximum fees that any Wrecker Service shall charge <br />for a non consent tow, subject to the exceptions set forth in sub-section (b) <br />below: <br />Maximum for light duty tows: <br />$120.00 <br />Maximum for light duty accidents: <br />$170.00 <br />Maximum for medium duty tows: <br />$200.00 <br />Maximum for heavy duty tows: <br />$350.00 <br />Maximum for heavy duty accidents: <br />$450.00 <br />(b) The standard non-consent towing fees may not apply in the following <br />situations: <br />(1) In an extraordinary situation as determined by the investigating <br />police officer, the Wrecker Service may charge fees in excess of the <br />standard fees stated above, but in no event shall the Wrecker <br />Service charge more than their published fee schedule as can be <br />found on the TDLR web-site. <br />(2) An extraordinary situation would include, but is not limited to: <br />overturned vehicles, vehicles that are located more than fifty (50) <br />feet off the roadway, vehicles in water or in ditches, or such other <br />situations in which the investigating officer finds to be <br />extraordinary. <br />(3) In the event the vehicle owner or operator desires to have the <br />vehicle towed to a destination outside the City limits, the Wrecker <br />Service agent, representative, or driver may negotiate a price with <br />the vehicle owner or operator to tow to the specified destination. <br />ARTICLE V. TOWING FEE STUDY AND UNCLAIMED VEHICLES. <br />Sec. 35-16.
