<br /> (Attachment) <br /> <br /> ATPA-7 <br /> Detective <br /> <br /> The Detective will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Detective <br /> <br /> and shall likewise be subject to the supervision of a Sergeant within the <br /> Criminal Investigations Division of the Paris Police Department and within <br /> <br /> the Department's Chain of Command up to the Chief of Police. The Detective <br /> will be subject to such orders as the Chief of Police or his designee may <br /> <br /> prescribe, not inconsistent with the laws on the State of Texas or the <br /> mandates of the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority grant. <br /> <br /> <br /> The Detective shall devote 100% of his time to official duties, unless <br /> granted leave by the Chief of Police or his designee. The Detective's <br /> <br /> responsibilities shall be: <br /> <br /> <br /> 1) Assist the Senior Detective in all of operations of the Task Force, <br /> as requested. <br /> <br /> <br /> 2) Keep the proper records and provide reports to his supervisor as <br /> <br /> required. <br /> <br /> <br /> 3) Work with every responsible, legitimate group or agency in a <br /> cooperative effort to prevent motor vehicle theft by educating the <br /> public and law enforcement officers in the area of motor vehicle <br /> <br /> crimes. <br /> <br /> <br /> 4) Work diligently and relentlessly in the investigation of, and <br /> pursuit of, all crimes involving motor vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br /> 5) Enforce all laws relating to the theft of motor vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br /> 6) Assist in the prosecution of all those charged with the crime of <br /> <br /> motor vehicle theft or related crimes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ABTPA-9 <br /> - 113 <br />
