Mike Glatfelter spoke in support of this <br /> item. Mayor Pro-Tern asked for anyone wishing to speak in opposition of this item, to please <br /> come forward. With no one else speaking, Mayor Pro-Tern McCarthy closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> With no action being taken on this item, it was scheduled for a second reading on May <br /> 9`h. <br /> <br /> A Motion to return Mayor Biard to the meeting was made by Council Member Rhonda <br /> Rogers and seconded by Council Member Pickle. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. <br /> <br /> 11. Presentation of Paris Economic Development Corporation's Quarterly Report. <br /> <br /> PEDC Director Steve Gilbert referred City Council to the quarterly report that was <br /> included in their packets and asked if there were any questions. There were no questions. Mr. <br /> Gilbert announced that the Red River Regional Agricultural Innovators and Entrepreneur Foruin <br /> was scheduled for May 4th between 10:00 a.m. and l :00 p.m., at the new offices of the Red River <br /> Region Business Incubator. Mr. Gilbert invited everyone to attend. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gilbert said that he wanted to publically apologize to the City Council, the Rogers <br /> Family, and City staff regarding the diversity RFP process and the manner in which it got out of <br /> hand. Mr. Gilbert also said that recommendations would be made to the PEDC Board on May <br /> 10th regarding the Project, and until that time the procurement process was underway. He also <br /> said that once a decision was made, that they would deal with issues as they arose. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 6 <br />
