<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Lamar County Chamber of Commerce <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> March 22, 2011 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> Governmental Affairs: Mindy Moree reported that the Lamar County Day in Austin is scheduled <br /> for April 5th & 6`h and volunteers are still needed to secure the success of the event. <br /> <br /> Transportation: Steve Gilbert reported that with the retirement of Don Wall as the transportation <br /> chairman, the Governor's office appointed Delbert Horton as the SSRMA Chairman. Mr. Gilbert <br /> reported that efforts are still underway with the state to obtain funding for the HWY 24 project. <br /> <br /> Leadership Lamar County: Tami Birch reported on the class project fundraising efforts with the <br /> Dancing with the Stars event and the golf tournament. <br /> <br /> Main Street: Cheri Bedford reported that a Texas Capital Fund Sidewalk Grant is in process. <br /> Mrs. Bedford also reported on the events being held on the plaza as well as the upcoming KPB <br /> trash off with a specific group designated to downtown clean up. <br /> <br /> Presidents Report: Mindy Moree gave a brief report on the ASA Tournament; International <br /> Group travel to Paris, France; Lamar County Day in Austin; and the April in Paris Art Exhibit <br /> downtown. <br /> <br /> With no further business to come before the board the meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> Mindy Moree, <br /> Chamber President <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ~5 <br />
