or other property was impounded shall be sufficient to meet all requirements of <br />notice pursuant to this section. <br />(d) Notice by publication under Subsection (c): <br />(1) may contain multiple ]istings of impounded vehicles or other property; <br />(2) must be published within the time requirements prescribed far notice <br />under Subsection (a); and <br />(3) must contain the same contents required for notice under subsection (b). <br />Sec. 25-220. Liability of City. <br />The provisions of sections 25-216 and 25-217 shall not be construed to relieve <br />from or lessen the responsibility of any person who shall leave his vehicle or other <br />property parked on the streets of the city in such a manner that the same may be <br />impounded; nor shall the city be held as assuming any such liability by reason of <br />impounding or causing to be impounded such vehicle or other property. <br />Sec. 25-221. Claim of impounded vehicle or other property. <br />(a) To claim an impounded vehicle or other property, satisfactory evidence of <br />ownership or right of possession and proof of financial responsibility as required <br />under Chapter 601, Texas Transportation Code, as amended, must be presented <br />to the impounding department. <br />(b) The requirement to provide proof of financial responsibility may be waived by <br />the impounding department if, after satisfactory evidence of ownership or right <br />of possession has been presented, the owner or individual claiming right of <br />possession: <br />(1) provides an affidavit showing no intent to operate the motor vehicle until <br />proof of financial responsibility can be attained; and <br />(2) the vehicle is towed or carried from the impound facility by a licensed tow <br />operator authorized to conduct operations from an impoundment facility. <br />(c) No vehicle shall be released from the city impoundment facility, except upon <br />written order of release from the impounding department. <br />Sec. 25-222.
