AMENDED CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) 5. Public Announcements. a. Proclamation declaring Paris Majors All Star Dixie World Series Champions Day. Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 6. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on August 19, 2011; August 22, 2011; August 26, 2011; and August 29, 2011. 7. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Historic Preservation Commission (6-8-2011 and 8-10-2011) b. Planning and Zoning Commission (8-1-2011) Regular Agenda Public hearing, deliberate and act on a Ordinance Adopting a Redistricting Plan for City Council Districts for the City of Paris and authorizing the Mayor and City Council to execute said Ordinance and the City Clerk to attest to same. Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Paris, Texas will convene in regular session on the 12th day of September 2011 at 5:30 p.m. to receive public comment on redistricting of City Council districts. Following the public hearing, the City Council will take up for consideration and possible action one or more alternative plans for the redistricting of City Council districts. The City Council reserves the right to take any and all appropriate action regarding the redistricting of the City of Paris's political boundaries, including the acceptance of new boundaries for the City Council districts,
