ORDINANCE NO. 1739 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FO~ THE EX'I'ENSION OF CERTAIN BOUND_ARY <br />LIMtTS OF THE CITY Or PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANN:EX.ATION OF CERTAIN <br />'TERRITORY CON5ISTING OF LESS THAN TEiV PER CENT OF THE PRESENT <br />AREA OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES AD.JA- <br />CENT TO AND AD.JOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LTMIT OF THE CIT Y O ~T <br />' PARI5, TEXAS, AND W'rIICH IS PART OF THE EXT'RATEtZRITORIAL JURIS- <br />DICTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS. <br />WHEREA5, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Paris, <br />Texas, where all interested persoris were provided with an opportunity to be <br />heard on the proposed annexation of the following described territory: <br />Situated in the Coutrty of Lamar and State of Te:cas, and being described <br />as follows: <br />Beginning at a stake where the most Western City Limit Line of the <br />City of Paris intersects the S. B. Line of Highway 82; <br />Thence West wii;h the S. B. Line of Highway 82 to the North'West <br />~ Corner of a tract of land belonging to Kay Brown and described as follows: <br />5ituated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the Isaac Cruise Survey, <br />and being a part of a 90. 13 acre tract of land conveyed Kay I3rown by deed <br />recorded in Vol. 390, Page 132, of the Deed Records of said County and <br />State. <br />Beginning at a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line of I3onham <br />5t. , said point being the Northeast corner of said Brown tract; <br />i Thence South along the East Boundary Line of said tract, a distance <br />of 1110 ft. i:o a s{;ake for corner; <br />Thence West a clistance of 720 ft, to a stake for corner; <br />Thence Nori;h a distance of 1110 ft. to a stake for corner in the South <br />Boundary Line of Bonham St. ; <br />Thence East along the South Boundary Li.tie of Bonham St. , a clistance <br />of 720 ft. to the place of beginuing; <br />" Thence South a distance of 1110 feet; <br />Thence East with tlie S. B. Line of the Kay Brown tract to tlie 5oui:h <br />East Corner of said tract; <br />~ Thence North with the E. B. Line oi the Kay Brown tract to a point <br />~ 300 feet South of the S. B. Line of Highway 82; <br />Thence East and parallel with the S. B. Line of Hi.gliway 82 to the <br />W. S. Line of the present City Lirsiits; <br />Thence South with said West Boundary Li.ne to a point which would be <br />a westward extension of the N. B. Line of Sherman Street to a point 600 <br />feet West of i:he ceni;erline of the oui:er loop of Highway Loop No. 286; <br />Thence South and East and parallel wii;h the centerline aforesaid ai: <br />a dislance of 600 feet from said centerline, to a point in a road which <br />would be the extension of 6th S1;reet, S. E. ; <br />Thence Northwith the W. B. Line of said extension of 6th Street, <br />S. E. to the existing City Limit Line in South Paris. <br />was held at Paris, Texas, on the 28th day of June, A. D, , 1965, wh=ch date is not <br />more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation pro- <br />ceedings herein; and, <br />WHEREA5, notice of such public hearing was published in the newspaper <br />having general circulatiou in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described <br />i;erritory, on the 16th day of June, A. D. , 1965, which date is not more than <br />twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, <br />
