ORDINANCE NO, ' 1498 . AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING, ADMITTTNG AND iNCORPORATING ADDITIONAL TERRITORIES IN LAMAR COUNTY, TEXA.S, LYING ADJA- CENT TO THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, INTO AND AS A PART OF SAID CITY OF PARIS, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO'AS TO INCLUDE AND EMBRACE SAID AD3ACENT TERRITORIES, CONFERRING ALL RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNI- TIES OF CITIZENSHIP UPON THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TER.R.ITORIES, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF WARD THREE AND WAR.D FOUR SO AS TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE ALL OF SAID TERRITORIES AND IN- CORPOR.ATING TR.ACT 1 IN WAR.D THR.EE OF SAID CITY AND INCOR- PORATINCz TR.ACT 2 IN WARD FOUR OF SAID CITY, PROVIDING THAT ALL ORDINANCES, RULES, REGUI.3A TIONS AND LAWS IN EFFEC T IN THE CITY OF PARIS AND THAT MAY HEREAFTER BE PASSED IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TERR.ITORZES AFTER PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE, INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENCxINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SALD GITY IN ACCOR.DA.NCE HEREWI'IIH AND TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SUCH_TERRITOR.IES SHOWING STREETS, ALLEYS, LOTS, TRACTS, AND PROPERTY OWNERS AND TO FILE THE SAME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CORREGT T,HE MAP OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO A.S TO ADD SUCH TER.R.ITORIES THER,ETO; AND IN5TRUCTING THE CITY AS5ESSOR AND COLLEGTOR OF TA,XES TO LIST ALL PROPERTY THER.EIN AND PLAC.E SAME ON THE TAX ROLLS OF THE CITY OF PARLS AND HERE- AFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES 1N ACCORDANCE WITH LAW. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: §ection lo That the following described territories in Lamar Caunty, Texas, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of said City, and are hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris, and the boundary limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as . to include and embrace said territories and to cQnform to same as herein set out, to-wit: TR.ACT 1: Located within tha County of Lamar and State of Texa.s, and Beginning at a point w here the Northern Gity Limits intersect the West Boundary Line of U. S. Highway 271 and/or North Main Street; Thence North with the W. B. Line of said U. S. Highway 271 to the South Boundary Line of the Right of Way of Highway Loop No, 286; Thence West and along the Southern Right of Way Boundary Line of Loop No, 286 to the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of the Sto Louis and San Francisco Railroad; Thence 5outh and West with the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad to a point immediately West of fartheat Northern Boundary. Line of the City Limits of the City of Paris; Thence East to the North West Corner of said Gity Limits. TRACT Z. Located within the County of La.ma.r and State of Texa,s, and Beginning at a point where the W. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271 and/or North Main 5treet intersects the present Northern C,ity Limits, which is the beginning point of Tract 1 above; Thence East across said Highway to a dista.nce of 500 feet East of the E. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271; Thence North and parallel to U. S. Highway 271 at a distance of 500 feet to the S. B. Line of the Right of Way of Highway Loop No. 286; Thence West with the S. B. Line of the R.ight af Way of Highway Loop 286 to the W. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271.
