<s .i ORDINANCE NO. 1496 AN OR.DINANCE ANNEXING, ADMITTING AND INCORPORA TING ADDITIONAL TERRITORY IN LA.MAR COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ']E XAS, INTO AND AS A PART OF SAID CITY OF PARIS, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO INCLUDE AND EMBRACE SAID ADJACENT TERRITORY, CON- FERRING ALL RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES OF CITIZENSHIP UPON THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORY, EXTENDING THE BOUNDA- RIES OF WARD FOUR SO AS TO EMBR.ACE AND INCLUDE ALL OF SAID ' TERRITORY AND iNCORPO.R.ATING THE SAME IN.SAID WARD FOUR OF SAID CITY; PROVIDING TH3AT' ALL ORDINANCES, RULES, REGULATIONS, AND LAWS IN EFFECT IN THE CTTY .OF PARIS AND THAT MAY HERE.- AFTER BE PAS5ED IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TER.RITORY AFTER PASSAGE OF THIS OR.DINANCE, INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXINCt AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY 'LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO CONSTRUC T A COMPLE TE MAP OF SUCH TERRI TORY SHO WING S TREE TS, ~ ALLEYS, LOTS, TR.ACTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS AND TO FILE SAME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CORRECT THE MAP OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO ADD 5UCH TERRITORY THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY. ASSESSOR AND COLLEC TOR OF TAXES TO LIST ALL PROPERTY THER,EIN AND PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLLS OF THE CITY OF PARiS AND HEREAFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES IN ACCORDANCE WITH LA,W. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COiJNCTL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. -T'ha.t the following described territory in Lamar County, Texa.b, lying ad,jacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and adrnitted into the corporation of such City, and is hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris and the Boundary Limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include:.and embr,ace said territory and to conform to same as herein set out, to-vyit: Situated. in the County of Lamar and Sta.te of Texas, and being a part of the Hiram Williams Survey, and being described as follows:. Beginning at the N. E. Corner of a lot in the partition of J. S. Booth Eatate, being the N. E. Corner of a tract shown in Book 354, Page 369 of the Deed Records of Lamar County, and on the West Boundaxy Line of 25th Street, N. E. ; Thence South with the W. B. Line of 25th Street, N. E., a distance of .760 feet; Thence West 378 feet; Thence South 70 degrees and 35 v minutes West, 160 feet; Thence North 34 degrees, 11 minutes, West, 523 feet to a point in the South Boundary Line of Farm to Market Road No. 195; Thence South West with the S. B. Line of ~ Farm to Market Road No. 195 to a point where said Farm to Ma.rket Road intersects the present City Limit Lines of the City ' of Paris; Thence North West to the North Boundary Line of Farm to Ma.rket Road No. 195; Thence North East with the N. B. Line • of Farm to Market Road No. 195 to a point immediately West of the Northern North West Corner of the Ballard to Dodson Tractj Thence East to the S. B. Line of Farm to Market Road No. 195, being the S. B. Line of a dirt road, where Farm to Market Road No. 195 intersects the S. B. Line of the dirt road, said point being the most Northern North West Corner of the Ballard to Dodson Tract; Thence North 88 degrees and 13 minutes East with the S. B. Line of said dirt road, 368.5 feet to the place of beginning. -
