AN OEtDINANCE ANNEXING, ADMITTING AND INGbRFORATING ADDITIOTIAL IERRI- TORIES IN IANlAR COUNTY LYING ADJACENT IU THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, INTO ANID AS A PART OF SAID CITY OF PARIS 9 EXTENDING T}-E BOUNDAF3Y LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO INCLUDE AND ENBRAGE SAIA ADJACENT TERRITURIESt CONFERRING ALL RIGHTS, PRIVIIEGES AND IMh1UNITIES OF CITI7.ENSHIP UFON THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TERRITORIESt EXTENDING TFE BOUNDARI:ES OF WARU THREH (3) SO AS TO EIuBRACE AND INCLUDE SAID TERRITORIES AND INCARFORA'IE SANE INIU WARD TM3EE (3) OF SAID CITY9 PROVIDITlG THAT A.[.L nADtNANCES, RUIES, REGUTATIONS AND LAWS IN EFI=ECT IN THE CITY OF PAFZIS AND THAT MAY 1-EItEAFTER BF PASSED SNALL i3E IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TERRIT'ORIES AFTER PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE, INSTEtUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SUR1fEY FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDA[tY LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO OONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SUCH TERRIIURIFS SHOYIING STREFIS, ALLEYS 9 IAIS, TRACTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS AND TU FIIE SAIuE WITH THE CIIY CIEFtK AIm TtXIORRECT T}E MAP OF THE CITY UF PARIS SO AS TO ADD SUCH IEItRITORIES THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSESSOR AND OOLLECTOR OF TAXES Tb LIST ALL PROPERTIES Tf-EREIN AND PLACE SANE ON TtiE TAX ROLIS OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND I-EREAFTER ASSESS THE SAtvE FOR TAXES IN ACCORD- ANCE WITH LAW. WHEREAS9 there is presently exis-ting some uncertainty and dispute as to the correct location of the present city limit lines at and wzthin the areas mentioned within this ordinance; and, whereas, it is deemed by the City Council necessary and des3rable that some additional pxoperties be incorporated and included within tlie corporate limits of the City of Paris immediately ad- joining and in -the vicinity of such disputed areas: NOtiy, T}iEREFORE, BE IT OR- DAINED BY THE CI'TY COUNCIL OF THE CIIY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the following described territories in Lamar Countyp Texasp lying ad3acent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the Corporation of such City, and each and both of such tracts are hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris and the boundary limits of said City are tiereby extended so as to include and embrace said territories and to conform to the same as here3n set out~ to-wit: FIRST 'lRACTs Beginning at a point in the East Boundary Line of North Main Streetp which is also U. S. Highway No. 271 at the most northerly north west corner of the present boundary line or cii:y limit line of Paris; Thence Westp at 111 feet pass the West Boundary Line of said U. S. Highway 271t con- tinu3ng West in all a distance of 1037 feet; Thence South, at 1200 feet the North 4Vest Corner of the J. N. House Estate propexty and a N. W. Corner of the present City Limits, continuing South in all a distance of 2780 feetv a point in a present N. B. Line of the City Limits and the N.B. Line of City of Paris Warehouse property; Thence East with the said N. B. Line of said City of Paris property a distance of 726 feet to the W. B. Line of North Main Street, con- #nuing..F.ast_across said North Main Street to its E. B..Line, a total distance of1;806; feet;j~Thence in a Northerly direction following the E. B.
