16 - Repair Leaks Manhole Chimne J~nts <br />Manhole chimneys constructed of precast grade adjustment rings can develop <br />leaks between the rings. The rehabilitation method for these defects is to re-seal <br />with a non-shrink grout or other sealant. <br />17 - Repair Leaks Manhole Chimnev Wall <br />In lieu of the plastering techniques described in rehabilitation method 13, each <br />defect may be individually repaired through use of non-shrink or flexible sealing <br />products. <br />18 - Plug and Waterproof Coat Manhole Cone <br />Various defects can develop in cones, permitting inflow through cracked or <br />missing mortar, holes, and defective or missing bricks. This rehabilitation method <br />consists of cleaning the walls, repairing holes and cracks, and applying cement <br />based grout in multiple layers. <br />19 - Plug Lift Holes in Precast Manhole Cone <br />The sealant material used to seal the precast lift holes has deteriorated or is <br />leaking. This rehabilitation method addresses removal of the deteriorated sealing <br />material and replacement with non-shrink grout or other sealant. <br />20 - Rebuild Manhole Cone <br />The manhole cone is deteriorated to the point where it is structurally unsound and <br />standard repair methods will not be effective. This rehabilitation method <br />addresses excavating to expose the manhole down to the cone to wall joint, <br />installing a new cone and chimney, re-seating the frame, backfilling, and <br />pavement replacement. <br />ADS Environmental Services, Inc. <br />VI-12 <br />
