33 - Repair Leaks Manhole Channel
A solution to less severe defects in the manhole channel is to apply non-shrink
grout or other sealant to the individual defects.
34 - Remove Manhole Deposition - Medium
This rehabilitation method applies to manholes with one to three inches of debris
in the bottom.
35 - Remove Manhole Deposition - Heaw
This method is used for manholes with over three inches of debris on the bench
and channel.
36 - Locate Manhole - Raise to Grade
The manhole was unable to be located during field inspection activities. The
manhole must be located through the use of an internal TV camera or other
means, and raised to grade for inspection as detailed in Rehabilitation Code 08.
37 - Uncover Manhole - Raise to Crrade
The manhole was located during field inspection activities, but was buried and
could not be excavated. The manhole must be raised to grade for inspection as
detailed in Rehabilitation Code 08.
391 - Replace Manhole
This method is normally recommended only for manholes with multiple heavy
defects. However, it is also used for manholes in older systems with few defects
but signs of deterioration.
392 - Plug and Waterproof Coat Entire Manhole
Rather than plug and coat or patch individual sections of manholes, it may be
advantageous to coat the entire manhole, especially in older brick manholes
which are deteriorated. The method used involves cleaning the walls, patching
holes or cracks, and coating with a waterproofing sealant in multiple applications.
ADS Environmental Services, Inc.
VI-15
