Mainline Rehabilitation Codes <br />40 - Minor Defects- Clean, TV Inspect Line <br />Minor mainline defects should be watched and eventually repaired, but are not as <br />critical to the system condition as other, more severe defects. A code of 40, <br />including the cost for televising and cleaning only, was assigned if no roots were <br />found. <br />41 - Minor Defects - Remove Roots, Clean, TV Inspect Line - <br />Minor mainline defects should be watched and eventually repaired, but are not as <br />critical to the system condition as other, more severe defects. If roots were <br />encountered with a minor mainline defect, a code of 41, which includes cost for <br />televising and de-rooting, was assigned. <br />42 - Install Sleeve at Exposed Pipe <br />An exposed pipe in a ditch is permitting inflow. This rehabilitation method <br />addresses pouring a concrete collar around the pipe or otherwise sleeving the <br />portion of the pipe leaking. <br />43 - Mainline Point Repair <br />T'his repair consists of excavating, exposing, and repairing individual or multiple <br />defects located on 15 feet or less of mainline. T'he cost of such a repair varies <br />depending on depth, pipe diameter, surface cover, traffic conditions, and several <br />other factors. <br />431 - TV Inspect Line - Mainline Point Repair <br />Mainline point repair defects found through manhole inspection (lamping) were <br />recommended for televising before repair to avoid unnecessary rework due to <br />additional defects that might be found farther in the line. This rehab code <br />includes the cost of rehabilitation for the point repair(s) and the cost to televise <br />the line. <br />ADS Environmental Services, Inc. <br />VI-17 <br />
