I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDED PLAN
A. Overview
The primary purpose of the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey was to identify
areas of excessive inflow and infiltration into the City of Paris wastewater
collection system. This report will present all findings from the SSES of the
system, along with recommendations for rehabilitation of defects and sub-
standard appurtenances. B. Summary of Findings
1. Field Inspection
Approximately 7,000 defects were located through physical inspection,
smoke testing, dyed water testing, and television inspection.
Rehabilitation of public sector defects is estimated to cost approximately
$8,000,000, and 53% of this cost is associated with mainline point repairs,
lining, and replacement. As part of the field inspection activities, all
structures were numbered.
2. Capacity Analysis
Results of the hydraulic model will be presented in Appendix A.
3. Lift Station Pump Performance
Results of the 41ift station pump performance tests will be presented in a
separate letter report.
C. Conclusions
The following aze the conclusions reached by ADS based on all collected data and
available information:
ADS Environmental Services, Inc.
I-1
