DRAFT <br />F:ALICE\RESWORK\CURRNET\ SCBA Award Bid <br />July 7, 2004 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF SELF- <br />CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUSES (SCBA) FOR USE IN THE <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 12th day of <br />January, 2004, in Resolution No. 2004-008, approve the advertisement for bids for the purchase <br />of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatuses (SCBA) for use in the Fire Department, which bids were <br />received until 3:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, the 6th day of July, 2004; and, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for said SCBA was made by Wayest Safety, Inc. of Forney, <br />Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for the same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That the bid of Wayest Safety, Inc. for the Self-Contained Breathing <br />Apparatuses in the amount of $3,383.00 per unit and extra bottle, be, and the same is hereby, <br />accepted and let conditioned upon said (SCBA) meeting all of the terms and specifications <br />included in the bid documents. <br />Section 3.
