So do I hear any nominations for the office of Chairman for the Building <br />and Standards Commission. <br />Mr. Schenk: The only problem is that the alternates cannot stand as officers and can't participate <br />in the vote. <br />Mr. Malone: Do we have a nomination for Chairman? We need someone to chair the meeting. <br />Mr. Schenk: Don't all speak up at once. <br />Mr. Malone: Don't all volunteer at the same time. <br />Woman: This is just a suggestion. Is it possible for them to just sit and talk to each other for <br />ten minutes. I don't think these people have ever gotten together. <br />Mr. Schenk: No. They could talk here but they cannot have a separate special meeting. <br />Woman: It is just haven't met each other Larry, that's all. <br />Mr. Schenk: Oh I know and understood. <br />Woman: This is a little different. <br />General discussion among several people. <br />Mr. Malone: I believe that an alternate can nominate somebody. <br />Mr. Haynes: Larry, can alternates nominate someone? <br />Mr. Schenk: Sure <br />Man: I will nominate Mary Crumpler as Chairman. <br />Mr. Malone: We have a nomination for Mary Crumpler. This is Mary right here. <br />Ms. Crumpler:I'm sorry, what? <br />General laughter and conversation. <br />Ms. Crumpler: I don't even, what does the vice-chairman and I know what the recording secretary <br />does. <br />Mr. Schenk: The chair conducts the meeting. The secretary has to take the minutes. <br />
