The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was alled to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman I~ <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman ~ <br />Paul Denney ~ <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />Alternates: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment (arrived at 4:11 p.m.) <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rodgers I <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Approval ofminutes from previous meetings. Motion to a prove the minutes <br />of the May 12, 2004, and May 17, 2004, meetings was made y Barbara Wilson, <br />seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 7-0. , <br />3. Discussion of and possible action on approving the follov~ing Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: II <br />A. Beverly Pendleton - approximately 24 W. P/aza (pr ;perty immediately <br />north of 28 W. Plaza [McKay's Music Co.]). Beverly endleton advised <br />the Commission that Paul Denney prepared a drawi g of the entryway, <br />and they have decided to build a new door as sho n on the alternate <br />drawing. Chairman Starrett advised Mrs. Pendleto that any painting <br />of masonry should match, as closely as possible, the surrounding <br />masonry. Mrs. Pendleton stated that she felt the clolor they selected <br />would help distinguish the building from others. Barbara Wilson stated <br />
