CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless <br />an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to <br />any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person <br />with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as <br />individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meetings on September 26, 2011, <br />and September 30, 2011. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Board of Adjustment (6-21-2011) <br />b. Traffic Commission (9-6-2011) <br />c. Historic Preservation Commission (9-14-2011 & 9-26-2011) <br />d. Paris Economic Development Corporation (9-1-2011 & 9-28-2011) <br />7. Deliberate on September monthly financial report. <br />8. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. <br />Regular Agenda <br />9. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance amending the <br />zoning from Light Industrial District (LI) to a Commercial District (C), on Lot 1, Block <br />A, Trinity Christian Academy Addition CB 323, located at 2060 FM 79. <br />10. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance amending the <br />zoning from a General Retail District (GR) to a General Retail District (GR) with a <br />Specific Use Permit (14) Day Camp, on Lot 2, Block B, Sunrise Estates Addition, located <br />at 70 42"d Street N.E. <br />
