Contingency <br />TOTAL $ <br />5,000 <br />1,000 <br />11,000 <br />900 <br />1,200 <br />600 <br />150 <br />1,000 <br />20,850 <br />POLICY DOCUMENT <br />Paris Municipal Band <br />PURPOSE: To provide summer band concerts for the residents and visitors of Paris <br />through a volunteer band in Bywaters Park and at the annual fireworks display. <br />GUIDANCE: The Band is guided by the Paris Municipal Band Commission made up of <br />members of the community and the Band Director. The Commissioners are appointed <br />by the Mayor of Paris. The Band Director is hired by the Commission. <br />• The National Anthem will be played by the Paris Municipal Band for all guest <br />accompanists and singers. Taped music will not be allowed while the band is <br />waiting to perform. <br />• All guest accompanists and performers will be at the discretion of the Band <br />Commission. <br />• Special events for at which the band will perform will include the Crape Myrtle <br />Queen Coronation and the Rotary Clubs' Fireworks Display. Other <br />consideration for events will be at the discretion of the Paris Municipal Band <br />Commission. Any special needs regarding setting up of equipment or chairs <br />will be arranged for by the organizing body, and coordinated through the <br />Band Director. <br />• A set program will include the theme song "I Love Paris", the National <br />Anthem and will last approximately one hour. <br />• Membership in the Band will be at the discretion of the Band Director, <br />depended upon playing ability and age of the member. Solicitation of band <br />members will be solely by the Band Director. <br />
