<br />Planning and Zoning Minutes <br />September 8, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Lee Dillard, Sr., 505 12th Street SE, spoke in opposition to the petition <br />stating that the house needs to be torn down but he thought the <br />purchaser would put up another house. Mr. Dillard stated that he did <br />not receive a letter regarding the proposed zoning change. <br /> <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of Richard Hardison for a <br />change in zoning from a Two-Family Dwelling District (2F) to a <br />Multiple-Family Dwelling District No.1 (MF-l) on Lot 5, City Block <br />112-B, being located at 52112th Street SEe <br /> <br />Motion was made to deny the petition by Russell McCain, seconded by <br />Carl Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission for a change in zoning to include a Historic Overlay <br />District No.9 (HD) on the North Part of Lot 1, City Block 154, being <br />located at 625 Washington Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission, <br />stated that this is the Old County Hospital, owned by Agape House. <br />Historic Preservation Commission met with the board of the Agape <br />House and looked over their plans and approved a certificate of <br />appropriateness.
