<br />10. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Minutes <br />September 8, 2004 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Bill Buford, owner of the property, stated that this house was placed on <br />the historical register in 1988 and they are in the process of restoring it <br />and would like to be included in the historic overlay. <br /> <br />Mr. Arvin Starrett, Chairman of the Historic Preservation Commission, <br />stated that the Commission concurs with the Bufords. <br /> <br />There was no opposition present, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission for a change in zoning to include a Historic Overlay <br />District No. 11 (HD) on Lot 2, City Block 79, being located at 744 3rd <br />Street NW. <br /> <br />Motion was made to approve as Historic Overlay District No.9 by Brad <br />Archer, seconded by Russell McCain. Motion carried by a vote of 7 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission for a change in zoning to include a Historic Overlay <br />District No. 12 (HD) on Lot 15A, City Block 204, being located at 2006 <br />Bonham Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Bill Buford, a friend of Butch Hunt, stated that this house is also on the <br />Historic Register and he wants it included in the historic overlay. <br />Arvin Starrett stated that this is a Prairie style home and he received a <br />letter from Mr. Hunt requesting the overlay designation. <br />
