MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />LOVE CIVIC CENTER <br />2025 S. COLLEGIATE STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2004 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by Vice <br />Chairman Barbara Wilson at 12:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Paul Denney <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Alternates: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Discussion of and possible action on approving the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: <br />A. 366 Bonham Street - Ron and Lynn Dickson. Petitioners were advised <br />that they had painted the building a different color than was approved <br />by an earlier COA, and they stated they had misplaced their paint <br />samples and tried to work from memory. They were told they should <br />have contacted City offices to view the sample held there, and they <br />stated they did not think about that. Motion to approve the current <br />Certificate of Appropriateness was made by Paul Denney, seconded by <br />Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 5-0. <br />B. 901 S. Main Street - Charley McDowell. Vice Chairman Wilson advised <br />the Commission this was a KPB project. Motion to approve the <br />Certificate of Appropriateness was made by Paul Denney, seconded by <br />Brian Wear. Motion carried 5-0. <br />C. 100 block of Grand Avenue - Paris Junior College, by Lindsey Harper, <br />
