Draft <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING THE BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR <br />FURNISHING THE LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT AND FOR <br />PERFORMING ALL WORK REQUIRED FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE <br />(MOWING) ON CITY OF PARIS PARKS AND FACILITIES TO THE LOWEST <br />RESPONSIBLE BIDDER; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, advertise for bids for <br />furnishing labor, materials, and equipment and for performing all work required for <br />grounds maintenance (mowing) of City of Paris Parks and Facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid for grounds maintenance (mowing) for the <br />City of Paris Parks and Facilities as shown on the attached bid tabulation, was made by <br />Ray's Lawn Service, 695 N. Cedar, Blossom, Texas, and the contract should be awarded to <br />Ray's Lawn Services in accordance with the unit prices bid and the other terms and <br />conditions set out in the bid documents attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of the Agreement for such Ground Maintenance, included in <br />Exhibit "A" attached hereto, should in all things be approved, and the City Manager should <br />be authorized to execute the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby <br />in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the bid of Ray's Lawn Services, Blossom, Texas, for the Grounds <br />Maintenance in the City of Paris is hereby accepted as the lowest responsible bid which <br />provides the best value to the City and the contract for grounds maintenance is hereby let <br />conditioned upon said Contractor executing a contract with City and Contractor meeting all <br />of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents attached hereto as Exhibit <br />„A» <br />Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to <br />execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Agreement with Ray's Lawn Service in such form <br />as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br />Section 4.
