<br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br />100 GEORGE WRIGHT HOMES <br />July 21, 2004 <br />12 :30 p.m. <br /> <br />Chainnan Jeff Hoog called the meeting to order as 12:37 p.m. with the following board <br />members present: Annette Grant, Lillian Brooks, Myrick Browning. Also attending was <br />Executive Director Denny Head, Assistant Director Sally Gibson, and Legal Council <br />T .K. Haynes. <br /> <br />Chainnan Jeff Hoog asked for a motion to accept the minutes from the June 15,2004 <br />board of commissioners meeting. Motion was made by Myrick Browning and seconded <br />by Lillian Brooks. Motion was unanimous 4-0. <br /> <br />Executive Director Denny Head presented financials to board. In addition Denny <br />explained that due to cuts in budgets as well as changes in Section 8 the PHA would no <br />longer pay higher exception rents. Ridgeview and Town Parc will not be on lists unless <br />the resident qualifies for 40%. Residents that are presently living in Town Parc and <br />Ridgeview will have one year to find a more reasonable rent place to live. In addition <br />Section 8 residents cannot port to a metropolitan area unless they are absorbed in that <br />area. <br /> <br />Resolution 2004-034- Approval and award contract for siding and cabinet <br />replacement. Denny Head infonned the Board that the Paris Housing Authority <br />advertised for bids for cabinet and siding replacement. The lowest bid was from <br />Ameritech of Arkansas LLE in the amount of$130,911.00. Motion was made by Myrick <br />Browning to accept bid and seconded by Lillian Brooks. Motion was unanimous 4-0. <br /> <br />Chainnan Jeff Hoog asked if there was any further business and there being none asked <br />for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion was made by and Myrick Browning <br />seconded by Annette Grant.
