<br />Ver 1.10 <br />08/03 <br /> <br />k. Search & Rescue. <br /> <br />Paris Fire Department <br /> <br />1) The primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Paris Fire <br />Department, who will prepare and maintain Annex R (Search and Rescue) <br />to this plan and supporting SOP's. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Coordinate and conduct search and rescue activities. <br />b) Identify requirements for specialized resources to support rescue <br />operations. <br />c) Coordinate external technical assistance and equipment support for <br />search and rescue operations. <br /> <br />I. Terrorist Incident Response. <br /> <br />Paris Police Department <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Paris Police <br />Department Annex V (Terrorist Incident Response) to this plan and <br />supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Coordinate and carry out defensive anti-terrorist activities, including <br />criminal intelligence, investigation, protection of facilities, and public <br />awareness activities. <br />b) Coordinate and carry out offensive counter-terrorist operations to <br />neutralize terrorist activities. <br />c) Carry out terrorism consequence operations conducted in the <br />aftermath of a terrorist incident to save lives and protect public and <br />private property. <br />d) Ensure required notification of terrorist incidents is made to state and <br />federal authorities. <br /> <br />6. Support Services Responsibilities <br /> <br />a. Shelter and Mass Care. <br /> <br />ARC, Lantar County Chapter <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to American Red Cross, <br />Lamar county chapter, who will prepare and maintain Annex C (Shelter <br />and Mass Care) to this plan and supporting SOP'S <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Perform emergency shelter and mass care planning. <br /> <br />29 <br />
