<br />Ver1.10 <br />08/03 <br /> <br />b) Coordinate and conduct shelter and mass care operations with our <br />other departments, relief agencies, and volunteer groups. <br /> <br />b. MASS CARE FEEDING <br /> <br />THE SALVATION ARMY <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Salvation Army, <br />who will prepare and maintain annex a (human services) to this plan and <br />supporting S~P'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Perform emergency mass feeding <br />b) Coordinate and conduct mass feeding with American red cross, Lamar <br />county chapter, other departments, and volunteer groups. <br /> <br />c. Emergency Public Information. <br /> <br />Paris Police Department <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the Paris Police <br />Department. The Paris Police Department information Officer will prepare <br />and maintain Annex I (Emergency Public Information) to this plan and <br />supporting SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Conduct on-going hazard awareness and public education programs. <br />b) Compile and release information and instructions in coordination with <br />EOC during emergency situations and responds to questions relating <br />to emergency operations <br />c) Provide information to the media and the public during emergency <br />situations. <br />d) Arrange for media briefings. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Recovery. <br /> <br />Community Development <br /> <br />1) Primary responsibility for this function is assigned to the City of Paris <br />Community Development. The Director of Community Development will <br />prepare and maintain Annex J (Recovery) to this plan and supporting <br />SOP'S. <br /> <br />2) Emergency tasks to be performed include: <br /> <br />a) Establish and train a damage assessment team using local personnel. <br />Coordinate the efforts of that team with state and federal damage <br />assessment personnel who may be dispatched to assist us. <br /> <br />30 <br />
