Motion by Mr. Mackey to approve the no parking area as <br />requested, seconded by Mr. Seidle, motion passed 6-0. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Consideration of the request to place stop signs for northbound and <br />southbound traffic on SW 3 St. at the intersection of Hearne, and for <br />westbound traffic on Hearne at SW 4 ST. This is a new street and has not <br />been completed at this time. Mr. Kimbrough made a motion to place the <br />stop signs as requested, seconded by Mr. Seidle, motion passed 6-0. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Consideration of a request for increasing the speed limit on NE 36 ST <br />from Smallwood Rd to FM 195 was requested by a resident of the area. <br />Although no accidents had been reported in this area where the speed <br />limit is 30, future development in the area would most probably require <br />any adjusted increase of the speed limit to be lowered at a lower date. <br />Mr. Kimbrough made the motion to not increase the speed limit, seconded <br />by Ms. Lane, motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Consideration of a request for historic street signs in the Historic Districts. <br />Community Development Director Lisa Wright requested that no action be <br />taken on this matter. Permission from the Texas Department of <br />Transportation would be required to change any signage along some of <br />the streets in the historical district. Ms. Wright indicated that she would <br />seek their input on the signs before any further action would be requested. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Consideration of request concerning truck traffic on Church Street. The <br />Commission was briefed on the 2 City ordinances regarding truck traffic <br />inside the City. After discussion of these ordinances, the commission <br />requested that additional signage for no "through truck traffic" be erected <br />at Hearn and Church St. Mr. Seidle made the motion for the s i g n s, Ms. <br />Lane seconded and the motion passed 7-0. <br /> <br />Ms. Lane made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Fisher and the meeting <br />ended at 5:35 P.M. <br /> <br />Bob Hundley <br />Assistant Chief of Police <br />
