<br />DRAFT <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL TESTING REQUIREMENTS - <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Public safety employees and employees already performing safety-sensitive functions <br />who seek promotions or transfers into other public safety or safety-sensitive positions <br />will be required to submit to controlled substance and alcohol testing as a condition of <br />transfer or promotion upon selection. An employee who has been tested within the last <br />twelve (12) months prior to the promotion or transfer will not be required to be tested. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Non-public safety employees and employees not performing safety-sensitive functions <br />who seek promotions or transfers (including reclassifications) into public safety or <br />safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to controlled substance and alcohol <br />testing upon selection. <br /> <br />CHANGE OF JOB STATUS - In the event ofan employee's promotion, transfer, demotion, <br />reclassification, or other change of job status, the employee's supervisor shall notify the <br />Personnel Department of the employee's change of job status and whether or not the employee <br />will occupy a public safety or safety-sensitive position. <br /> <br />RECORD REQUIREMENTS - In addition to records normally maintained regarding testing <br />facilities, procedures, and results, Personnel Department representatives will: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />prepare an annual calendar year summary of the results of its testing program of safety- <br />sensitive positions, and maintain it for a minimum of five (5) years. <br /> <br />if presented with a written authorization from an employee or past employee who is <br />occupying or has occupied a safety sensitive position, in accordance with D.O. T. <br />regulations, release information regarding the individual's participation in the City's <br />controlled substance and alcohol testing program. <br /> <br />~17.10 - Drue Awareness Proeram <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />There is a Drug Awareness Program for all City employees of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />The Personnel Department shall be responsible for: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />collecting data regarding controlled substance and alcohol abuse; <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />coordinating department/division efforts to present educational materials and provide <br />training sessions to City employees regarding controlled substance and alcohol abuse <br />61 Rev. 10/27/04 <br />
