“Section 14-51. Certificate required. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a food establishment within the <br />City of Paris for more than thirty (30) days without holding a current Food Hygiene <br />Certificate. <br />“Section 14-52. Certificate application. <br />Each person, within thirty (30) days of becoming an operator of a food handling <br />establishment, shall file with the Paris-Lamar County Health Department a written <br />application for a Food Hygiene Certificate and shall satisfactorily complete a Food <br />Hygiene Training Course conducted by the Paris-Lamar County Health Department. <br />“Section 14-53. Food Hygiene Training Course. <br />The Paris-Lamar County Health Department shall conduct a food handlers’ <br />training course, consisting of courses of instruction as prescribed by the director of <br />such health unit, including but not limited to sanitary food handling, state statutes and <br />city ordinances relating to food handling, food-borne disease, prevention of disease, <br />personal hygiene, good housekeeping practices, and other related information, such <br />course to be conducted monthly as needed. <br />“Section 14-54. Fee. <br />The initial and annual Food Hygiene Certificate fee shall be Twenty Dollars <br />($20.00). <br />“Section 14-55. Issuance of Certificate. <br />A Food Hygiene Certificate applied for under this division shall be issued by the <br />Paris-Lamar County Health Department initially upon the payment of the fee and <br />satisfactory completion of the food hygiene training course. Such Certificate may be <br />in the form of an identification card or other form as the Health Department shall <br />determine is appropriate. The Certificate may be renewed by the payment of the <br />annual fee for the two (2) years succeeding the initial issuance. After the expiration <br />of three (3) years, an application for a new Certificate must be processed which will <br />not be issued until the satisfactory completion of the Food Hygiene Training Course. <br />Sections 14-56 - 14-65. Reserved.” <br />Section 4. <br />That all ordinances or portions of ordinances in conflict with the terms and <br />provisions of this Ordinance shall be and are hereby in all things repealed to the extent of such <br />conflict. <br />Section 5. <br /> That this ordinance shall become effective the 1st day of March, 2005. <br /> <br />
