<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2005 <br />12:00 0'CLOCK P.M. <br />1.The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 12:00 P.M. <br />A.The following members were present: <br />Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney <br />Alternates:Becki Norment <br />Brian Wear <br />B.The following members were absent: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Jerry Raper <br />C.Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br />2. Motion to approve the minutes <br />Approval of minutes from previous meetings. <br />of the June 19, 2004, November 10, 2004, December 8, 2004, and December 20, <br />2004, meeting was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Ann Rodgers. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />3. <br />Consideration of and possible action on the appeal by Beverly Pendleton of <br /> Randy <br />the denial of a Certificate of Appropriateness for 24 W. Plaza. <br />Pendleton and Bob Burns were present to speak on this matter. Chairman <br />Starrett asked if the lights were for sale, and Mr. Pendleton stated that they <br />weren’t going to be, but they can be. Chairman Starrett asked if the lights <br />were wired to electricity, and Mr. Pendleton stated they were not. Chairman <br />Starrett stated he would have no problem approving the COA on the <br />conditions that the lights are for sale and that they not be wired to electricity. <br />Mr. Pendleton stated he was agreeable to that. Mr. Burns asked the <br />Commission what would happen if the Pendletons left the lights there <br />permanently, and Chairman Starrett advised Mr. Burns that the Pendletons put <br />up the lights without filing for a COA and that this was the second time they <br /> <br />
