Regular City Council Meeting <br /> March 14, 2005 <br /> Page 8 <br />Jennifer Darwin - 535 S.E.-25th Street, spoke in opposition of the cuts in the <br />EMS and Fire Department. <br />Roger Yolsten - 2125 CR 33200, spoke in opposition of having one paramedic <br />on an ambulance instead of two paramedics. <br />Bill Snell - 1010 Cope Drive, spoke in opposition of cutting any emergency <br />services and privatization of trash. <br />Marva Joe - 160-17th N.E., spoke in opposition of privatization of trash. She <br />expressed that she would like to see the city and county work together to <br />combine some services. <br />Benny Gray - 640 Wilburn, until something is resolved with our trash problem <br />and get the people out of it that has been in it for 22 years, it will never <br />change. <br />Mayor Fendley asked for anyone else wishing to speak to do so. <br />With no one else speaking, Mayor Fendley call for a break at 7:55 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 8:10 p.m. <br />7.Presentation of Staff Reports. <br />A.City Attorney Larry W. Schenk regarding proposed restructuring of the Legal <br />Department and the effect it will have on his department. <br />B.Kent Klinkerman, Director of Emergency Medical Services, regarding <br />proposed restructuring of the EMS Department and the effect it will have on <br />his department. <br />C.Fire Chief Ronnie Grooms regarding proposed restructuring of the Fire <br />Department and the effect it will have on his department. <br />D.Karl Louis, Police chief, regarding proposed restructuring of the Police <br />Department and the effect it will have on his department. <br />E.Karl Louis, Police Chief, annual report on status of racial profiling policy. <br />Chief Louis stated they had four racial profiling complaints in the last year. <br /> <br />
