<br />(e) <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Requirements for termination - Stage 3 of the Plan may be rescinded <br />when all of the conditions listed as triggering events have ceased to exist <br />for a period of twenty-one (21) consecutive days. Upon termination of <br />Stage 3, Stage 2 becomes operative. <br /> <br />Stage 4 Triggers - Critical Water Shortage Conditions <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Requirements for initiation - Retail water customers shall be required to <br />comply with the requirements and restrictions on certain non-essential <br />water uses provided in Section 34-156 of this Article for Stage 4 when <br />anyone of the following triggering events exists: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />When the water supply available to the City of Paris is equal to or <br />less than fifty percent (50%) of the Conservation pool in Pat Mayse <br />Lake and Lake Crook combined; or <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />When, pursuant to requirements specified in the City of Paris' <br />wholesale water purchase contracts, notification is received <br />requesting initiation of Stage 4 of the Drought Contingency Plan; <br />or <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />When total daily water demand equals or exceeds thirty-five (35) <br />million gallons for twenty-one (21) consecutive days or exceeds <br />thirty-six (36) million gallons for nine (9) consecutive days; or <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Continually falling treated water reservoir levels which do not refill <br />above fifty percent (50%) overnight. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Requirements for termination - Stage 4 of the Plan may be rescinded <br />when all of the conditions listed as triggering events have ceased to exist <br />for a period of twenty-one (21) consecutive days. Upon termination of <br />Stage 4, Stage 3 becomes operative. <br /> <br />Stage 5 Triggers - Emergency Water Shortage Conditions <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Requirements for initiation - Retail water customers shall be required to <br />comply with the requirements and restrictions on certain non-essential <br />water uses provided in Section 34-156 of this Article for Stage 5 when <br />the City Manager, or his/her designee, determines that a water supply <br />emergency exists based on: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Major water line breaks, or pump or system failures occur, which <br />cause unprecedented loss of capability to provide water service; or <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Natural or man-made contamination of the water supply source(s). <br /> <br />-7- <br />
