<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, April 18, 2005 <br />4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Roll was called. <br /> <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Harrell Tippitt Brad Archer <br />Ryan Lassiter Pike Burkhart <br /> <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Greg Wilson Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Ward Hall <br /> <br /> <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the meeting minutes, and <br />Harrell Tippitt seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously <br /> <br />3. Public hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors <br />and owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been <br />given notice of a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled A Substandard and <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures: <br /> <br />th <br />A. 1167 17 Street N.W., Lot 7, City Block 235 <br />There were no comments from the audience concerning this property. <br /> <br />Pike Burkhart made a motion that the building be demolished within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the building is not <br />demolished within the 30 day time period, the City will demolish the <br />building.
