Head, Executive Director, went over several items
including:

1. Financials - Best shape we have been in since 1998. We are looking at investing
some money out of our Public Housing Account. Limited money in Section 8
Account due to HUD taking anYthing over 105% of reserves. 2005 Funding has
just been approved through Congress and HUD. We have not received our Year
End Settlements ($32,000.00) as of today. Unit cost HUD has allowed is $360.17
on an average per voucher and we are running at approximately $150.00 on an
average per voucher.

2. Litigation and Fair Housing - 3 eviction cases in process have been won in
Justice of the Peace Court and have been appealed to County Court with the help
of Lone Star Legal Aid. 2 of the cases are rent cases and one is regarding a tenant
threatening a Housing Authority employee. This one is being investigated by Fair
Housing due to the complaint filed against the PHA. Fair Housing has extended
their own time for the investigation. Weare hoping it will be resolved by
February.

3. Meeting in Tyler on March 29,2005 regarding the ending of the Young Lawsuit
and what Housing Authorities are supposed to do.

1

~
i

I
