Head - Executive Director Jeff Hoog - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Myrick Browning - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners Annette Grant - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners Lillian Brooks - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners T K HaYnes - PHA Legal Counsel Patricia Pridemore - Operations Manager of Housing Authority Visitors: Mary Ruth Hughes - Resident Council President Sharon Thornton - Westgate Management Company Meeting Called to order at 12:42 pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 by Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Jeff Hoog. Board of Commissioners approved the minutes of March 15, 2005 Meeting. Motion made by Lillian Brooks and seconded by Annette Grant. Minutes approved 4-0. **Update on Westgate - Ms .Thornton not present at this time. Came back to this later in the meeting. Director's Report: Denny R. Head, Executive Director, went over several items including: 1. Financials - Calculations of Operating Subsidy - Over $13000.00 in reserves. We invested $100000.00 in CD's. The reserve money in Public Housing and Section 8 is good. We can't leave any money in reserves in the Section 8 Program due to the fact that HUD will recapture any excess. 2. Memorandum of Agreement on REAC Inspection - most of items are completed. We are out for bid on sidewalk repair - anYthing over % inch is considered a tripping hazard and have to be repaired. All meters that we had write-ups on have been locked. Major problems with our physical inspection have been addressed. We also have scheduled complete UPCS inspections on every Public Housing unit to be done the last week of this month/first week of next month to avoid surprises on our REAC inspections for this year. 1 ~ I I
