<br />Special Work Session Meeting <br />August 29,2005 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />of county mileage expense for those who were getting car allowances. The Motion was <br />seconded Council Member Manning. Council Member Wilson said he thought that an <br />employees with car allowances should get reimbursed for gas when traveling out of county, <br />and employees without a car allowance should be reimbursed for mileage when traveling <br />outside of the county. <br /> <br />The Motion failed - 3 ayes and 4 nays with Council Member Wilson, Council Member <br />Poston, Council Member Wilkerson, and Mayor Fendley casting the dissenting the votes. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilson made a Motion that employees who are currently receiving <br />car allowances be limited to reimbursement for gas and oil expense only, when traveling <br />outside the county. Council Member Ray seconded the Motion. <br /> <br />The Motion carried - 5 ayes and 2 nays, with Council Member Poston and Mayor <br />Fendley casting the dissenting votes. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley brought this item back to Council and stated that this item was not an <br />amendment to the budget, but a policy decision. Mayor Fendley said it should placed on the <br />September 12th Agenda. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-100: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY MANAGER'S PROPOSED <br />BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DA TE. <br /> <br />Motion to approve by Council Member Wilkerson. Council Member Fisher - second. <br />Motion carried - 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley told Council if there were additional amendments, they needed be <br />discussed at this meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Wilson said there had been some discussion about whether to do the <br />2 for 1 or not, in the event of privatization. Council Member Manning said he would like to <br />see the 2 for 1 whether it privatizes or not. Council Member Wilson said if the citizens vote <br />to keep it in house, they in fact have voted against 2 for 1. Council Member Wilson said he <br />would like to see it at 2 for 1, but that he was not going to go against the citizens. Council <br />Member Manning said 2 for 1 should not be tied to privatization and Council Member Ray <br /> <br />T <br />
