96-015 ORD PROVIDING FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF MAXIMUM, REASONABLE AND PRUDENT RATES OF SPEED ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS

(3) On Spur Highway 139, easterly from the centerline US 82/US 271 to the centerline of F.M. Highway 195, a distance of approximately 0.791 miles, a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all times, as evidenced by the plan attached hereto as Exhibit C; (4) On F.M. Highway 1508, southwesterly from the City Limits of Paris to the centerline of US 271, a distance of approximately 0.900 miles, a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour at all times, as evidenced by the plan attached hereto as Exhibit D; (5) On F.M. Highway 195, northeasterly from the centerline of BU 82 H(Lamar Avenue), a distance of approximately 0.200 miles, a speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour at all times; thence northeasterly a distance of approximately 1.100 miles, a speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour at all times; thence northeasterly to the north City Limits of Paris, a distance of approximately 0.972 miles, a speed limit of fifty (50) miles per hour at all times, as evidenced by the plan attached hereto as Exhibit E. Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on April 1, 1996.
