<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 93-017 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED <br /> IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, <br /> AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS <br /> REMAININU ON THE PREMISES TU CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE <br /> A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PKOPERTY AIVD A HAZARD TO THE LIFE <br /> AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING <br /> SAID RUBBISH, LUNiBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE <br /> TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE <br /> SUCH NUISANCE. <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the <br /> Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, ori the 12th day of <br /> April, 1993, at 6:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room, City <br /> Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building <br /> Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the <br /> resolutions referred to the Committee by the City Council on <br /> the 25th day of February, 1993, and said Committee fixed said <br /> hearing at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the 23rd day of March, 1993, <br /> and the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice was <br /> given to the awner or owners of the structures located at the <br /> following addresses: <br /> 401 E. Garrett, Lot 1, Block 4, Washington Heights <br /> 333 lst Street N.E., Lot 4, City Block 57 <br /> 326-338-350 3rd Street N.E., Lot 5, City Block 60 <br /> 419 8th Street N.E., E.114' Lot 1, City Block 64-A <br /> 956 East Tudor, Lot 17, City Block 69 <br /> 504 lOth Street N.E. Lot 13, City Block 69-A <br /> 528 llth St:reet N.E., Lot 3, City Block 70 <br /> 474 11th Street N.E., Lot 6, City Block 70 <br /> 441 13th Street N.E., Lot 17, City Block 70-C <br /> 720-728 5th Street N.E., Lot 9, City Block 72 <br /> 761 5th Street N.E., Lat 13, City Block 75 <br /> 1117 7th Street N.E., Lot 9-C, City Block 93-B <br /> 670 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., Lot 14, City Block 93-B <br /> 1104 7th Street N.E., Lot 1, City Block 93-D <br /> 1815 East Booth, Lot 4, City Block 227-B <br /> 704 Booth Place, Lot 16-A, City Block 63-A <br /> 335 East Garrett, Lot 9-10, Block l, Washington Heights <br /> 2597 Clark Lane, Lot 2, Block C, Wynnwood Addn. <br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures <br /> involved and introduced pictures of the various portions of <br /> the structures and various portions of the premises involved <br /> and a list of discrepancies in the structures located <br /> thereon. That the Committ:ee found that each of the above <br /> structures was in such state of deterioration and <br /> dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and <br /> property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and <br /> was dangerous to life and property and dangerous structures <br /> to life and property. That said buildings are in such a <br /> state of dilapidation and decay that none of said structures <br /> are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi- <br /> tion of the premises and structures involved was such that <br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be <br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by <br /> the City Council to tear down and remove the same from the <br /> lots involved. 'That said Committee filed a complete report <br /> of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk of the <br /> City of Paris on the 30th day of March, 1993; and, <br />
