<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (4) Liquid waste transporters desiring to <br /> transport, mobile treat and/or process within <br /> the City shall: <br /> a) Comply with a11 requirements of the <br /> laws and regulations of the United States <br /> and the State of Texas concerning such <br /> wastes. <br /> b) Obtain a permit from the City, <br /> requirements of which are listed in <br /> Section 34-131(c)(1) of this article. <br /> <br /> c) Demonstrate to the City the capabil- <br /> ity of the operator and the equipment to <br /> consistently meet the requirements of <br /> this article. <br /> d) Discharge at the point designated by <br /> the City, in order to discharge to the <br /> POTW. <br /> <br /> (b) Hazardous Wastes. <br /> Users that generate industrial and hazardous <br /> wastes sha11 comply with all the laws and <br /> regulations of the United States and the State of <br /> Texas concerning such wastes. <br /> <br /> Such users shall maintain records of the types <br /> and quantities of wastes generated, name of the <br /> transporter, and the site of disposal. These <br /> records shall be made available for inspection by <br /> the City at any reasonable time. <br /> Transporters transporting hazardous wastes <br /> must have the applicabLe federal and state permits <br /> and use the appropriate manifest systeffi. The City <br /> shall be allowed to inspect vehicles for proper <br /> operation, registration, and manifest. <br /> (c) Non-Hazardous Waste Transportation <br /> <br /> (1) Requirements for Permit <br /> Any person required by this section to <br /> obtain a permit to transport non-hazardous <br /> waste shall perform the following: <br /> <br /> a) Make application on a form provided <br /> by the City and provide such information <br /> as the City may reasonably request. <br /> b) Submit for inspection by the City <br /> each vehicle the applicant proposed to <br /> use to transport liquid waste. Each <br /> vehicle shall be constructed, equipped <br /> and identified in accordance with the <br /> following provisions: <br /> 1) Business name shall be perma- <br /> nently displayed on both sides of <br /> the vehicle in three (3) inch high <br /> (or larger) letters. <br /> 2) Vehicle shall be clean and <br /> odor free. <br /> <br /> 3) Vehicle shall be equipped for <br /> safe operation and possess a valid <br /> state inspection sticker. <br /> -35- <br />
