<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />~IN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />Aikin <br /> <br />JuJ.y 14,2005 <br />Building -Downtown <br />23 East: Plaza <br />3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />raris <br /> <br />A meeting of the members of the Paris Main Street Advisory <br />Board was held Wed. July 14, 2005 at 3 p.m., in the Aikin <br />Building. Zach Saffle, Chairman, presided. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Barbara Wilson, Jennifer Long, Walt Brown (Alt.) <br /> <br />ABSENT: Bailey Gant (Alt. ), Renee Harvey (Alt.), Linda <br />Suarez, David House, Pike Burkhart (Alt.), Drew Crawford, <br />Suzy Harper <br /> <br />Zach Saffle called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />June 13, 2005 minutes were reviewed by board members and a <br />motion was made by Barbara Wilson. Jennifer Long seconded <br />and minutes were unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />~ Organization Committee - No Report <br />~ Promotions Committee - No Report <br />~ Design Committee Barbara Wilson, Co-Chair of the <br />committee reported that a meeting is scheduled for <br />August 3, 2005 to discuss a master plan for the downtown <br />plaza. <br />~ Economic Restructuring Committee - No Report <br /> <br />Report from MS Coordinator: <br />Pocket Park - A grant from the Meadows Foundation will be pursued, however part of the <br />grant application process requires a community supported financial commitment. <br />Essentially we would need to show $50,000 in support. 2 members of Main Street and 2 <br />members of the Historical Preservation Committee will be appointed to establish <br />community fundraising efforts. Main Street has requested that Coordinator speak with <br />Waxahachie MS program to identify how they funded their pocket park. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />I <br />
