Motion carried 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />14. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Signature <br />. Senior Living, Part of Lot 14, City Block 259, being n urn ber 750 N. <br />Collegiate. <br /> <br />Motion was made to approve the plat by -Russell McCain, seconded <br />by Benny Plata, subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated August <br />30, 2005. Motion carried 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on recommending revisions to the Code <br />of Ordinances to redefine "Home Occupations" and to provide for a <br />permit for such activities. <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development handed out a draft <br />ordinance that redefined home occupations and established several <br />criteria for Qperating the same. She explained that this would <br />simplify the procedure for home owners who operate small, non- <br />obtrusive businesses from their homes and would also eliminate the <br />concerns over what kind of business could go in under a zoning <br />change. Motion was made to approve the revisions to the Code of <br />Ordinance to redeîme "Home Occupations" by Bobby Myers, <br />secon d ed by Russell McCain. Motion carried 6 ayes and 1 nay (Carl <br />Lucas opposed the allowance of a small sign). <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />I <br />
