<br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN
<br /> THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, AND AN
<br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING ON
<br /> THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO
<br /> LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE
<br /> INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND
<br /> REFUSE FROM THE STP.UCTURES TO BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE
<br /> PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE.
<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the Mayor
<br /> of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, on the 13th day of
<br /> February, 1989, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room, City
<br /> Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard
<br /> Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolutions
<br /> referred to the Committee by the City Council on the lOth day of
<br /> November, 1988, and said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00
<br /> o'clock A.M. on the 27th day of January, 1989, and the hearing
<br /> was had thereon. That proper notice was given to the owner or
<br /> owners of the structures located at the following addresses:
<br /> 2264-2300-2328 North Main Street, Lot 9, Block 250
<br /> 1356 West Houston, Lot 4, Block 191
<br /> 264 South Main Street, Lot 6, Block 178A
<br /> 306-324 Clarksville Street, Lot 1, Block 183
<br /> 1244 Church Street, Lot 3, Block 158A
<br /> 265 South Main, Lot 1, Block 179A
<br /> 630 West Sherman Street, Lot 13, Block 119B
<br /> 401 East Garrett Street, Lot l, Block 4, Washington Heights
<br /> 2330 North Main Street, Lot 10, Block 250
<br /> 214 lst S.W. Street, Lot 1, Block 177A, Nahas Building
<br /> 1141 N.W. Loop 286, Lot 3D, Block 298
<br /> 360 N.E. 6th Street, Lot 2, Block 64B
<br /> 1105 34th N.E. Street, Lot 3A, Block 318
<br /> 1548 Church Street, Lot 4, Block 14, Texas & Pacific

<br /> 1269 7th N.W. Street, Lot 3, Block l, Jones Addition
<br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved
<br /> and introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures
<br /> and various portions of the premises involved and a list of
<br /> discrepancies in the structures located thereon. That the
<br /> Committee found that each of the above structures was in such
<br /> state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious
<br /> fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings
<br /> was dilapidated and was dangerous to life and property and
<br /> dangerous structures to life and property. That said buildings
<br /> are in such a state of di.lapidation and decay that none of said
<br /> structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the
<br /> condition of the premises and structures involved was such that
<br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be
<br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by the
<br /> City Council to tear down and remove the same from the lots
<br /> involved. That said Committee filed a. complete report of its
<br /> hearing and its findings with the City Clerk of the City of Paris
<br /> on the lOth day of February, 1.989; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper notice
<br /> was given to the owner or owners of the structures hereinafter
<br /> listed. That at said hearing on the 27th day of January, 1989,
<br /> the Committee listed the structures involved and introduced
<br /> pictures of the various portions of the structures a.nd various
<br /> portions of the premises involved and a list of discrepancies in
<br /> the structures located thereon. That the Committee found that
<br /> each of the hereinafter listed structures was in such state of
<br /> deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard
<br /> to life and property, and that each of said buildings was
