B. Tripping hazards in primary walkways or decks caused by upheaval, broken or damaged wood or <br />concrete or other condition crcating a hazard. <br />C. Any condition not mentioned that meets the definition of a hazardous or substandard condidon <br />should be repaired and/or tehebilitated to meet industry standards <br />4.0 Erierminatlon <br />4.1 Minunum Extetmination Standarda <br />A. Propcrty should be inspected by a licensed cxterminator and treated as required by written <br />inspection mport. This will bc required of all dwellings unless homeowner can prove application of <br />service within twelve (I2) months of rehabilitation through a written receipt or statement. <br />4.2 Hazardous and Substatidard Conditions <br />A. Must include any condition that t]matens the health and or safety of the occupants. Substandard <br />conditions inclade any condition that threatens, defeats or will lead to the lack of functional <br />viability of a single feature of a home. These conditions must include but aot be limitod to: <br />Infestations of pest, wood destroying insects, or vcrmin; <br />2. Untreated wood having direct ground contact and used for struewral purposrs; <br />3. Cluttered dcbris or stored materials suitable for rodent or insect habitat <br />B. Any other condition not mentioned that meets We defiaition of a hazardous or substandard <br />condition should be ropeired and/or rehabilitated to meet industry standards. <br />5.0 Space xnd Uee <br />5.1 Minimum Space Standards for Ceilings <br />A. Wherever possible, a habitable room in a dweqing or dwelling unit must have a ceiling height of <br />not less tlmn 7'-6". At teast %2 of the floor area of every habitable room locatod above the V floor, <br />must have a ceiling height of 7'-6". The floor area of that part of any room whero the ceiling <br />height is less than 7'-6" must not be considered as part of the floor area in computing the total <br />floor area of the room for the purpose of determining maximum floor area. <br />B. Wbet+e the ceiling height of a habitabie room is less than 7' and it would be cost-proWbitive to <br />raise said ceiling, the requiremcnt may be waived provided the Contract Administrator does so in <br />writing. <br />C. A ceiling height of a minimum of 7', is acceptable in bathrooms, toilet rooms, hallweys, utility <br />rooms, and kitchens. <br />5.2 Minimum Space Standards for Hallways <br />A. AIl rooms, except kitchens and/or kitchenettes and batha, hallways, storage rooms and porohes <br />must have, a minimum width of T. <br />5.3 Miaimum Space Standacds for Kitchens <br />A.
