13.2 Hazardous and Substandard Conditions <br />A. Hazardous conditions must include any condition that threateos the health and or safcty of the <br />occupsnts. Substandard conditions include any condition that threatens, defeats or will lead tn the <br />lack of functional viability of a singlc feature of a home. These conditions rnust include but not be <br />limited to: <br />Missing or dysfunctiona] overhead or other switch operated lighring in each interior <br />room; <br />Missing or dysfunctional lighting ai each exterior.door opemted by an interior switch <br />thak is wittâ–ºin reach of tho door; <br />B. Any other condition not mentivned which mcets the defuudoa of a hazardous or substandard <br />condition should be cepaired and/or rehabilitated to meet indushy standards. <br />14.0 Water Sapply and Wastewater Systems <br />14.1 Minimum Water Supply and Wastewater Systems Staadards <br />A. Every dwelling unlt must be connected W a sanitary water supply and functioning sanitary <br />waste/water disposal system. <br />B. Every dwelling unit must contain a room which is equipped with a functioning toilet and a <br />properly installed lavawry. Said lavatory must be properly connecttd to both hot and cold running <br />water, under pressure, and must bc properly maintained in working oMer. Faucets shoufd be fitic <br />from leaks or drips and should shut off completely <br />C. Every dwelling unit must contain a bathtub and/or shower. Bathtub and/or showor may be in the <br />same room as the f lush water closet and lavatory, or said bathtub end/or shower may be in a <br />scparate room. Thcsc facilities must be pmperly connected to both hot and cold running water <br />lines, under pressure, and must be maintaincd in working order. Faucets should be free from leaks <br />or drips and should shut off completcly. <br />D. Toilets and bathrooms must have doors with a privaey type loek and such doors, lock and <br />hardware must be operable and maintained in worlcing order. <br />E. Every dwelling must have supplied wattr-heating facilities which sre properly installed; are <br />maintainod in working condirion and free of leaks; are properly connected to sny required hot <br />water lines; aad, at+e capable of hoating wster to be drawn for every bath as well as gentral usage <br />F. Hot waur storage associated with water heating facilities must be not less than 30 gallons for a <br />single family dwelling. All water heaters must be properly ventaf and aealed and must be equippod <br />with a pressure relief valve and drip log. <br />G. &very kitchen sink, toilet, lavatory basin and bathtub/shower, must be tnaintained in worldng <br />condition and be properly connected to an epproved weter and sewer or septic system. <br />H. Potable water supply piping, water discharge oudets, back-flow preventron devices or similar <br />equipment muet be in serviceable condition free from deterioiation, corrosion and blockage and <br />must not be so located as to make possible their submergence in any contaminated or polluted <br />liquid or substance. <br />1.
