repair any defects which may appear in the structure due to faulty painting, repairs or <br />other work. <br />In addition, it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to meet with the Engineer <br />and inspect the tank eleven and one-half (11 1/2) months from the date of the final <br />acceptance to determine whether the tank is still in a serviceable condition and then <br />correct all deficiencies under the warranty. <br />Upon completion of all work, the Contractor shall remove all surface materials and <br />rubbish and dispose of in accordance with directions of the Engineer. He shall repair <br />all damage caused by his workers and shall leave the premise in a clean and orderly <br />condition. <br />9. INSPECTION <br />A. The Engineer's Field Representative will perform quality assurance <br />inspections of the contractor's work on a hold-point basis. The Contractor is <br />required to perform his own quality control. <br />B. No work will progress beyond the designated hold-point until approved by <br />Engineer's Field Representative. <br />C. The following hold-points are designated: <br />(1) All welding repairs completed prior to painting. <br />(2) Reinforcement properly installed prior to placing concrete. <br />(3) Containment erection completed (as required). <br />(4) Surface contaminants removed (as required). <br />(5) Blast profile obtained and degree of blast completed <br />(6) Prime coat completed. <br />(7) Stripe coat completed. <br />(8) Intermediate coat completed. <br />(9) Finish coat completed. <br />(10) Holiday detection test of interior completed. <br />SW-11 <br />. . 442 <br />
