<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. $9-052 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARINU ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN <br /> THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, AND AN <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING ON <br /> THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO <br /> LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE <br /> tNHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND <br /> REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TG BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVEll FROM THE <br /> PREr1ISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE. <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the Mayor <br /> af the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, on the 13th day of <br /> November, 1989, at 6:00 o'clack P.M., in the Council Room, City <br /> Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard <br /> Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolutions <br /> referred to the Committee by the City Council on the lOth day of <br /> July, 1989, ar.d said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 <br /> o'clock A.M. on the 20th day of October, 1989, and the hearing <br /> was had thereon. That proper notice was given to the owner or <br /> owners of the structures located at the following addresses: <br /> 1032 S. Church Street, Lot Block 158 <br /> 1100 Block 6th N.E. Street, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, <br /> Block l, Hull Addition <br /> 565 East Houston, Lot 8, Block 28 <br /> 401 N.E. 3rd Street, Lot 23, Block 59 <br /> 250 South Main, Lot 4, Block 178-A <br /> 551 Clement, Lot 21, Block 250 <br /> 1418 Pine Bluff, Lot 6, Block 33-8 <br /> 1604 N. Main, Lot 1, Block 3, Fairview Addition <br /> 301 3rd S.W. Street, Lot 2, Block 176 <br /> 1401 Graham, Lot l, Block 46 <br /> 1864 West Austin, Lot 9, Block 5, S.J. Wright Addition <br /> 902 14th N.E., Lot l, Block 6, Belmont Addition <br /> 1112 14th N.E., Lot 9-11, Block 2, Harlan Heights <br /> 1276 East Sherman, Lot l, Block 112B <br /> 1301 6th N.E., Lot l, Block 93 <br /> 750 Bonham, Lot 12, Block 45A <br /> 527 7th S.W., Lot 10, Block 134 <br /> 333 Bonham, Lot 5, Block 120 <br /> 1120 3rd N.E., Lot 72, Block 3, Washington Heights <br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved <br /> and introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures <br /> and various portions of the premises involved and a list of <br /> discrepancies in the structures located thereon. That the <br /> Committee found that each of the above structures was in such <br /> state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious <br /> fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings <br /> was dilapidated and was dangerous to life and property and <br /> dangerous structures to life and property. That said buildings <br /> are in such a state of dilapidation and decay that none of said <br /> structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the <br /> condition of the premises and structures involved was such that <br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be <br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof he ordered by the <br /> City Couricil to tear down and remove the same from the lots <br /> involved. That said Committ:ee filed a complete report of its <br /> hearing and its findings with the City Clerk ot the City of Paris <br /> on the 10th day of November, 1989; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper notice <br /> was given ta the owner or owners of the structures hereinafter <br /> listed. That at said hearing on the 20th day of October, 1989, <br /> the Conimittee listed the structures involved and introduced <br /> pictures of the various portions of the structures and various <br />
